Dancing allows me to focus my mind and be in the moment.

Dancing allows me to challenge myself.

Dancing can make me feel powerful, vulnerable and beautiful.

There are so many reasons to dance!

To keep healthy

To connect with your body

To quiet negative thoughts

To express yourself

To celebrate music

To challenge and expand your identity

To connect with an audience

Treubh Dannsa

I am so grateful to the lovely Angela Campbell for introducing me to Belly Dance. I am a member of her troupe, Treubh Dannsa, attending lessons every week and performing Angela's choreographies (and occasionally my own) in the Falkirk area and beyond. I also cover for these classes when needed.

Esk Academy of Dance

As a child and teenager, I studied ballet and tap under the tutorage of Beryl Couper, at the Esk Academy of Dance in Montrose.

I am a Dance Cohesion Trained Teacher, hear what Dance Cohesion have to say:

"Jo Fraser is now an official Dance Cohesion Stage 1 Trained Teacher!

Jo dances to convey the emotions that a piece of music elicits within. She strives to develop technical proficiency, to move sharply and precisely to give visible form to music. She also enjoys slow and flowing pathways and experimenting with conveying different emotions, be it strength or sensuality. Jo has experience in a variety of styles and skills related to bellydance including raqs sharqi, fusion, frame drum, and finger cymbals. She is eager to inspire and share the joy of dance with her students as a reliable mentor on their dance journey." The Cohesion Collective, 23/08/2023
